Microsoft Teams Sharing Promoting Independence in Dementia on 10 September 2022

[September 2022 Webinar] Promoting Independence in Dementia on 10 September 2022

Check it out information on Dementia-A Guide to Daily Living Aids

Title: Promoting Independence in Dementia

People with dementia may reduce their engagement in daily activities not only due to cognitive decline but also because of ‘excess disability’ created by stigma and demoralization, and perceptions of what they can do. Creating a supportive and inclusive environment to people with dementia is crucial in moving forward and continuing a life with meaning and value.

By end of the webinar, participants should be able to:

  • Learn the challenges faced by people with dementia in daily activities.
  • Ways to engage people with dementia in daily activities and community.
  • Create a supportive environment that promotes independent and reflects the person’s personality.
