Unforgettable 2-Day Retreat: Luxurious Overnight Stay at Senior Living Domitys Bangsar in Kuala Lumpur
My recent stay at Domitys Bangsar Kuala Lumpur was absolutely amazing. As a delegate from the Malaysian Coalition on Ageing (MCOA) invited by Domitys Bangsar on June 20-21, 2023, I had the opportunity to experience this exceptional senior living community. MCOA comprises AGECOPE, GEMS, Usiamas, MPKSM, NCAS, PAWE, Seniors Aloud, TAMA, and U3A, all of which were part of this special event.
Domitys Bangsar, the latest brand under Ascott Malaysia, offers a unique concept of active senior living, and it is the first of its kind in Asia. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed with light refreshments and a delightful welcome drink.
Afterwards, we embarked on a comprehensive tour of the property. Domitys Bangsar boasts 68 fully furnished rooms and 32 unfurnished ones. The accommodation options include one-bedroom deluxe, two-bedroom deluxe, two-bedroom premiere, and three-bedroom premier. All the premier apartments are equipped with a fully furnished kitchenette, air conditioning with individual controls, satellite TV, a refrigerator, and various other electronic devices, ensuring that all our daily needs were catered to.
What sets Domitys Bangsar apart is its exceptional range of facilities. The community features a large pool, an activity lounge, a gym, a karaoke room, and a variety of weekly activities such as yoga, line dancing, mobility training, and cooking demonstrations, among others. These activities were designed specifically for seniors, and they truly added to the vibrant and engaging atmosphere of Domitys Bangsar.
I had the opportunity to try line dancing for the first time, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. Engaging in line dancing not only introduced me to a new form of dance but also provided valuable cognitive stimulation. The process of learning and following the intricate dance steps in line dancing requires mental focus, coordination, and synchronization with the rhythm. These challenges not only enhance cognitive abilities but also contribute to overall brain health, making line dancing a truly enjoyable and beneficial activity.
During our stay, we were treated to a delicious Nasi Kelabu dinner at the All Day Dining restaurant, where we experienced the culinary delights of the community.
We also enjoyed a relaxing karaoke session, where many talented singers showcased their skills, making it an enjoyable evening filled with nostalgic tunes. Additionally, we had the opportunity to dance in the media room, adding to the fun and lively ambiance.
The following morning, we started the day with a healthy aging breakfast, followed by a rejuvenating yoga session. The dedicated and friendly staff at Domitys Bangsar made our stay truly memorable, ensuring that we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout.
Dedicated and friendly Domitys team.
As Ascott Malaysia's latest brand, Domitys Bangsar, formerly known as Nomad Bangsar, caters to active senior living. They even offer a promotional video showcasing their "Super Senior Deal" at RM188, allowing individuals to experience a short trial stay before committing to a long-term arrangement at Domitys Bangsar.
I highly recommend Domitys Bangsar to active seniors who are seeking an exceptional environment to reside in. The community provides a perfect balance of comfort, engagement, and relaxation, making it an ideal choice for those looking to enjoy their retirement years to the fullest.
