What wheelchair suits your aging parents the most?
In the market, there are plenty type of wheelchairs. There is no single wheelchair can fit all your needs. Generally, pricing, comfort, durability, and daily needs are the common factors to choose a right wheelchair for your loved one.
In term of material of the wheelchair, you can easily find either chrome or aluminum wheelchair in the market. If you have budget constraint, you can consider chrome steel wheelchair. Normally you can find this type of wheelchair in clinic, hospital, nursing home because of handling by different people and also for rough usage.
For home user, commonly people will look for aluminum light weight wheelchair because of its weight which is half than the chrome steel models. It is suitable for traveling as it can be easily folded and carried by the caregiver or the accompanying family member and will be easy handled individually of its compactness.

a) Standard
old age but still able to propel the wheelchair themselves
b) DAF (detachable armrests and footrest)
Meant for stroke or paraplegic or someone needed the side arm removable to ease the transfer process
c) DEF ( detachable armrest and elevating footrest)
Meant for someone broken the leg with plaster on the leg thus requires the elevating footrest to support the leg till fully recovered.
For highly dependent cases such as stroke, tetraplegic (injuries from neck down), we recommend you to choose reclining wheelchair.
