ALL ABOUT HEARING LOSS
There are a few FACTORS that contribute to the hearing loss problem which are:
- Aging – The older the person get, the possibility for them to have a hearing loss will increase.
- Environment – This person get the hearing loss because of their environment, not since they were born. For example: The person work in a factory that full of machine’s noises, then they start to feel that they cannot hear very well and clear anymore.
- Genetic - Individuals who inherit two copies of the mutated gene, one from each parent. So, they will have the hearing loss since they were born.
- Stress – Bad sleeping habits and pattern will slowly contribute to the hearing loss problem.
There are a FIVE TYPES OF HEARING LOSS that someone will have after they do the hearing test.
- Normal Hearing – No hearing loss. The people hearing is in good condition.
- Mild Hearing Loss – This is the moderate hearing loss.
- Severe Hearing Loss - A moderate degree of hearing loss, if untreated, can affect a person's daily life in a significant way.
- Profound Hearing Loss – The people are unable to detect sound, even at the highest volume possible.
- Deafness - The person cannot hear anything at all.

When Do You Need to Go to the HEARING TEST?
- If you cannot hear the following sounds:
- Example: 1. Water 2. Baby Crying 3. Piano
- You can hear but not clear.
- Speech Comprehension which is you can hear someone is talking to you, but you don’t understand what actually that people talking.
There are a few REASONS that need you to wear the hearing aid. Here are the reasons why is it so important for you to do hearing test and wearing the hearing aid:
- SAFETY – For example: A girl who has a hearing problem walking on the street cannot hear the honking sound from the bus although the bus already honk her for many times. The girl will then get hit because of the hearing problem.
- TO HEAR WELL – When someone cannot hear very well, they will miss many important information.
- TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE – You can have a happy life and reduce the stress.
- TO INCREASE SOCIAL LIFE – You can interact well with people around without missing any information and increase your confidentiality.
- TO INCREASE SELF CONFIDENCE - You will not going to be shy to see and interact with people because you can hear well without missing any of the information that being told by the people around you.
There are two different type of hearing aids in the market which are Digital and Analog. Here is to share about the contradictness of that two type of hearing aids.
DIGITAL
- Automatically adjust the volume based on the environment.
- Good Quality of hearing aids.
- Adjust to accommodate hearing need.
- Can be connect to the computer,
- Can directly adjust and control from IPhone.
- Can last up until 10 years.
- Can reduce hearing loss.
- Can be reprogramme.
ANALOG
- Made in CHINA.
- The price is cheap that cost you around RM300 only.
- Do not fix your need.
- The quality is not good as you need to change the hearing aid frequently.
- Cannot be reprogramme or adjust.
- Will be faulty very fast.
- Not durable.
- Manually adjust the volume of the hearing aid to match with the environment.
