List of Senior Citizen Community Club in Malaysia
To have seniors’ community network is such a great idea and it is a trend nowaday in most of the countries.
In Malaysia, government has several community programmes for the elderly such as the the Pusat Activiti Warga Emas (Pawe) or day care centres around the country and a home help service where volunteer provide support services to the elderly. There are 132 PAWE in whole Malaysia.
For private senior community clubs are as follows:-
- SeniorsAloud - Our members are aged 50 and above. We are the first online senior community founded in 2008. SeniorsAloud organises a wide variety of activities and events both online and onsite to promote healthy, active ageing. We also carry out community service to help the elderly in need of assistance.
- National Council of Senior Citizens Organisations, Malaysia (NASCOM) - a not-for-profit federation of senior citizens organisations in Malaysia. Registered with the Registrar of Societies on 14th July 1990, NACSCOM now has 40 affiliates throughout Malaysia with a total membership of close to 20,000. We represent the senior citizens community in Malaysia. Since its inception, NACSCOM has been actively involved in promoting the welfare and social wellbeing of senior citizens in Malaysia.

In October 2004, the Institute of Gerontology, UPM, now known as the Malaysia Research Institute on Ageing (MyAgeing®), organized its inaugural National Conference on Ageing, themed "Bridging Research, Policy, and Practice."
