What is a tilting seat recliner wheelchair?

A tilting wheelchair has a seat frame that tilts backward in varying degrees from almost vertical back about 50 degrees.

It is specially designed to assist users who tend to slide off the standard wheelchairs.

With its higher backrest, it provides greater support and is able to recline to ensure that the user does not slide forward. It provides greater comfort by allowing a caregiver to adjust the way the user sits within the system. This adjustment relieves pressure from the lower back and redistributes it to different areas of the body.
