iElder CSR @ TAMA conference titled Living your Golden Years: Ordinary People Living Extraordinary Lives on 8th June 2024
By 2030, Malaysia is projected to transition into an aged nation, with individuals aged over 60 accounting for 15.3 percent of the total population, according to United Nations estimates.
Recognizing this impending demographic shift, the Ministry of Economy is formulating the Ageing National Agenda, aimed at preparing Malaysia for its transition into an aged nation by 2030 and a super-aged nation by 2044. This agenda will outline medium and long-term socioeconomic development plans, addressing challenges in health, education, finance, productivity, labor, and technology utilization to ensure sustainable economic growth for the aging population.
Conferences such as this play a crucial role in promoting healthy and active aging while providing education and inspiration to seniors, enabling them to embrace their golden years with grace and dignity.
As part of our CSR initiative, iElder is delighted to sponsor 10 seats for seniors and above, to attend "Living Your Golden Years: Ordinary People Living Extraordinary Lives" on June 8, 2024.
Attendees will be inspired by numerous motivational speakers, fostering a more positive outlook and improving mental health. We hope they will be encouraged to use their talents and skills to contribute more to society and their communities, following the examples set by Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye and Dato Seri Michael Chong. Active participants might even be inspired to travel and explore new places like Yusuf Hashim, challenging themselves and discovering that the sky is the limit.
Additionally, there will be a performance by the Senior Got Talent group, and lunch will be provided.
The conference is organized by the Third Age Media Association of KL and Selangor (TAMA), with the guest of honour being YB Dato' Seri Hajah Nancy Shukri, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, represented by Chief Secretary Datuk Dr Maziah Che Yusoff.
