DJSCA: AIM Healthcare Invited to give Presentation TCM Talks & Treatment Demo for Senior Citizens on 5 October 2019

The International Day for Older Persons (IDOP) celebration at Atria was held on 5 October 2019 at Atria mall.

Damansara Jaya Senior Citizens Association (DJSCA)/ Persatuan Warga Emas Damansara Jaya organised a full day programme. 

Programme: 
11am-12:45pm: Launch Ceremony / Health Talk
3pm-5pm: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Talk n TCM Treatment Demo by Dr Kong Why Hong
7pm-9:30pm: Aloha Oldies Night.

Dr Kong was invited to present Traditional Chinese Medicine for senior care & TCM Treatment Demo at 3pm.

TCM is a style of traditional medicine based on more than 2,500 years of Chinese medical practice that includes various forms of herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage (tui na), exercise (qigong), and dietary therapy.
TCM in Malaysia. In the past decades, traditional medicine has made significant contributions to the health care of our people. Traditional medicine continues to be patronised by the community to treat disease and maintain health.


It is widely acknowledged that the use of Traditional and / or Complementary Medicine (T/CM) is widespread and increasing. Malaysia’s rich tropical biodiversity is a reliable source for natural health products and the government is now addressing its full potential.

Over the years, the Institute has partnered with key stakeholders, such as the Gerontological Association of Malaysia (GeM), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (MWFCD), the Department of Social Welfare (JKM), and the UN International Institute on Ageing (INIA), Malta, to continually elevate the caliber of this academic event.
