Minimum enrolment: at least 5 participants per intake.

Early registration is encouraged as class sizes are kept small to maximise practical learning.

Who Should Enrol?

Who Is Eligible to Claim the Employment Insurance System (EIS/SIP) Benefits?

In general, the Employment Insurance System (EIS), administered by PERKESO (SOCSO), is available to employees who:

• Have contributed to the Employment Insurance System (EIS/SIP).
• Lost their job involuntarily.
• Were retrenched or laid off by their employer.
• Lost their employment due to company closure.
• Were affected by workforce downsizing or redundancy.
• Accepted a Voluntary Separation Scheme (VSS), subject to PERKESO's eligibility requirements.

However, not every employment separation automatically qualifies for EIS benefits.

Applications may not be approved if an individual:

• Resigned voluntarily.
• Was dismissed due to serious misconduct.
• Completed a fixed-term contract that ended without renewal under normal circumstances.

To support your claim, it is important to keep the following documents:

• Employment termination letter
• Employment contract
• Recent salary slips
• Employment Insurance System (EIS/SIP) contribution records
• Identification documents and bank account details (if required during the application process)
