Incentivising At-Home Care Assistive Technology to Promote Aging in Place

Case Study by INCEIF University

Caring for a loved one with complex health conditions can be physically, emotionally, and financially challenging. INCEIF University is conducting a meaningful case study to explore how at-home care assistive technology can improve quality of life, safety, and independence for individuals who wish to age in place.

We are currently inviting eligible candidates to participate in this programme.

Who can apply?

This programme is open to individuals who are 

  • M40 and B40

  • age above 65 years old

  • Stay in Klang Valley
  • Medical condition not limit to below
    • Bedridden or

    • Living with diabetes or

    • Diagnosed with cancer or

    • Living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) or

    • Experiencing dementia or Parkinson’s disease

Caregivers or family members may also apply on behalf of the patient.

What participants will receive:

  • Free professional assessment of care needs

  • ✅ Access to insights on suitable assistive care technology for home use

  • 🎁 iElder Vouchers worth RM500 each upon successful participation

  • Receive practical support and expert evaluation at no cost (consists of Doctor, nurse, Occupational Therapist, MyAgeing, iElder)

  • Contribute to research that helps shape better at-home care solutions

  • Support initiatives that promote dignity, comfort, and independence for aging individuals

Programme Steps

  1. Shortlisting & Contact
    Once shortlisted, the INCEIF team will contact you to arrange an assessment appointment.
  2. Home Assessment Visit
    A team of 4–5 trained assessors will visit your home to conduct a comprehensive assessment.
  3. Assessment Report
    You will receive a report outlining:
    • Recommended home modifications
    • Suitable assistive devices and product recommendations
  4. Voucher Utilisation
    Selected candidates may use the RM500 voucher to purchase the recommended assistive devices and/or medication.

Spaces are limited, and selection is based on eligibility criteria.
