#iElder.Asia @ Top E-Commerce Merchant Award Malaysia 2021

Great News to share. #iElder.Asia was shortlisted for the【Malaysia Top E-Commerce Merchant Awards 2021】 Organised by the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec), these awards recognise and honour the ideal Malaysian e-commerce merchants. 

Thank you, our beloved customers, for supporting us over the years. Without your support, we would not have achieved where we are now.

Our company has also been a long-standing vendor to hospitals, pharmacies, nursing homes and clinics. We are pleased that with this nomination, we had a visit recently from a representative of a prominent hospital with a view to start a business relationship with us.

Going down memory lane there was an intern who asked me as to why I started an e-commerce business during my 40s. I was hurt at his question but nevertheless I responded that e-commerce is the way to go forward for all businesses in the future. Age is no barrier. I invited him to join iElder to source high quality aged care products for elderly customers to live independently and safely at home. Ageing in Place is what our customers wish to have. 

I was requested by one of the U3A members to share my accomplishments. I emphasised that providing the best customer service and high-quality products are our goals and our customer feedback are testimonies to that. In these trying times everyone does need a bit of 'sunshine'.

I received a congratulatory message from my friend Dr Liza, who is in one of our group WhatsApp chats, who gave me this comment. “It’s not only what you have is a niche industry but also because of all the charitable endeavours you have been doing since you started.... It’s payback time!!!”

Our 14-day Online Sales Contest was a great success with teammate, Eugene Lee consistently providing educational sharing on iElder's products. Syafiqah and Ifa continue to provide excellent customer service to our customers. A special thanks to Mala and Shalini for their continuous contributions in promoting the Healthy Ageing content. 

I have personally worked with various foreign government agencies such as the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Invest Hong Kong, Victorian Government Business Office, Australia, but I am truly impressed with the hard work and commitment of the Malaysian Government agencies such as #Sidec, #MATRADE, and #MDEC's. They are mandated to lead the digital transformation of Malaysia in particular Selangor which is ASEAN’s digital hub. Kudos to all of you. I salute your great efforts to nurture SMEs and entrepreneurs to become regional tech icons. You are role models for other foreign government agencies. 

Let us work together to promote inter-sectoral cooperation and collaboration to improve the delivery of products and services for the elderly. Throughout my entrepreneurship journey, I would like to thank the associations and NGOs' support from #NAWEM, #NCAS, #AGECOPE, #HKMBA, #BNI.
