3. Keeping your body weight on the wheelchair, hold down on the button to move the wheelchair up/down the stairs.

What are the dimensions of the iElder Mobile Stairlift when folded and unfolded?

When unfolded, the Genesis measures 48.5” L x 20” W x 62.5”. When folded for storage or transport, it compacts down to 13.4” L x 22.4” W x 43.3” H, making it easy to store or take with you.

Can the iElder Stair Climber be used in curved or spiral staircases?

The iElder Stair Climber A1 is best suited for straight staircases. For curved or spiral staircases, consider a different model, like the A4 Mobile Stairlift.

What are the physical requirements for operating the iElder Stair Climber A1?

To operate this iElder Stair climber A1 safely, the operator should be in good physical health and capable of handling the stairlift’s controls. We recommend that the operator be comfortable hauling the 62-pound stairlift when storing and deploying it and be able to operate it with a patient’s weight.

To test these physical requirements, the operator should comfortably support the rider’s weight while the chair is tilted back.

It is advisable to practice using the climber chair without anyone seated on it until you are familiar with its operation. Then, practice with someone sitting on it before allowing the user to sit on it. Additionally, it is recommended to have a person in front of the climber chair during practice sessions.

When it’s time to charge it, you can expect a full charge within a few hours; however, you should charge it overnight to ensure the battery is ready when you need it. You can buy extra batteries to have fully charged batteries on standby!
