Why are reclining wheelchairs useful? They are designed to allow the user to recline in a comfortable position at incremental angle positions, without exerting so much energy. Reclining wheelchairs offer a change in positioning, allowing the user to open the seat to back angle, which is a lot more comfortable than a conventional seating system. It is most commonly used by the elderly or users with spinal cord injuries, head injuries, or muscle diseases. It also has easy to detach armrests, footrests and headrest making it easy to store away if needed and due to its lightweight frame it can be easily transported. This wheelchair has attendant brakes. What are attendant brakes? Attendant brakes allow the caregiver or anyone else to be able to push the user and also allows the person pushing the user to pressure brake when needed. The anti-tippers which are a form of wheelchair stabilizer prevent the chair from tipping over backwards.
