iElder × Precious Wedding: A Photography & Interview Initiative for Seniors
At iElder, our mission has always gone beyond providing eldercare solutions. We strive to reshape how society understands aging—by placing dignity, emotional well-being, and human connection at the heart of care.
This belief led us to collaborate with Precious Wedding on a meaningful photography and interview initiative dedicated to senior couples—an initiative that celebrates enduring love, lifelong partnership, and the beauty of growing old together.
Why iElder Initiated This Project
As Malaysia moves toward becoming an aging society, conversations around eldercare often focus heavily on medical needs and physical safety. While these are essential, they are only part of the story.
Through years of working closely with seniors and their families, iElder has observed a quieter, often overlooked need:
the need to be seen, valued, and emotionally acknowledged.
Many seniors receive care, yet feel invisible. This initiative was created to address that gap—by honoring seniors not as dependents, but as individuals with rich life stories, relationships, and emotional depth.
Why Precious Wedding?
Precious Wedding brings years of experience in capturing love stories at their most meaningful moments. Their approach to photography—centered on respect, emotion, and storytelling—made them a natural partner for this project.
Together, we believed that the same care used to document the beginning of love could be applied to honor love that has endured decades.
This collaboration bridges two worlds:
Health and elder well-being, represented by iElder
Visual storytelling and emotional expression, represented by Precious Wedding
The result is a project that treats senior love stories with the same reverence often reserved for youth.
The Photography Sessions: Dignity in Every Frame
Mr & Mrs Jagjeet Singh — 90 & 80 years young, blessed with love and a lifetime together.
The photography sessions focused on senior couples who have spent much of their lives together. Rather than attempting to “recreate youth,” the shoots embraced authenticity—wrinkles, shared glances, gentle gestures, and the comfort of familiarity.
For many couples, it was their first professional photoshoot in years, sometimes decades.
As they dressed up and stepped before the camera, something shifted. They were no longer defined by age or health conditions, but by their partnership and shared history. Seeing themselves portrayed with grace and intention brought visible pride and joy.
Interview Sessions: Listening to Stories That Matter
Alongside the photoshoots, interview sessions were conducted to give seniors the space to speak in their own voices.

Cheers to 43 years of marriage and a love that keeps growing
Josephine Siew, chairman of Agecpe has shown great dedication in Agape Care Society, making significant and meaningful contributions through her service, commitment, and compassion for the community.
The conversations explored:
what companionship means after many years
how love evolves with age
daily acts of care and patience
reflections on growing old together
These interviews revealed a powerful truth:
aging is not merely about decline—it is about continuity, adaptation, and deepened connection.
For younger audiences, these stories offer rare insights into relationships built on commitment rather than convenience.
Impact on Seniors: Emotional and Psychological Well-being
The impact of this initiative extended far beyond the day of the shoot.
Participants expressed:
a renewed sense of self-worth
feeling respected and valued by society
pride in their life journeys and relationships
Family members shared that their parents became more engaged, reflective, and emotionally open after participating. From an eldercare perspective, these outcomes are significant—emotional validation and social recognition are closely tied to better mental well-being and reduced loneliness in later life.
Impact on Society: Changing How We See Aging
Mr. and Mrs. Yang are a loving and devoted couple who are always together in everything they do. They actively run community activities side by side and enjoy travelling together. Mr. Yang is the President of PAWE Subang Jaya, where he plays an important leadership role in serving the community, with Mrs. Yang’s constant support by his side.
By presenting seniors through a refined and respectful visual lens, this project challenges the notion that aging should be hidden or ignored.
It invites society to:
see aging as a meaningful life stage, not a decline
recognize that love and partnership do not fade with time
understand that active and healthy aging includes emotional fulfillment and social connection
The images and interviews encourage viewers to reflect on how they treat elders today—and how they themselves hope to be treated in the future.
Looking Ahead
This collaboration with Precious Wedding marks an important step in iElder’s ongoing commitment to promote active, healthy, and dignified aging.
By combining healthcare advocacy with human-centered storytelling, we hope to inspire more conversations, collaborations, and community initiatives that place seniors at the center—not the margins—of society.
Because caring for seniors is not just about adding years to life. It is about adding meaning, love, and dignity to those years.
And when we truly learn to see our elders, we begin shaping a kinder future for everyone.
Thank you, Lily from Seniors Aloud, for sharing and supporting this meaningful initiative. Your advocacy helps amplify senior voices and brings greater awareness to dignified and active aging.
Grateful tks to Olivia & Dr Kong. A wonderfully meaningful and touching story to end my miserably unhealthy year.
It’s a vitally crucial project to share such impactful stories of ageing to encourage younger people ( even more matured couples) and, our children, like you nailed it, to think of ageing not just the physical dimension but the psychosocial aspects. Really touched by your inspiring and impactful words of wisdom. Kudos! Keep up your good work. And, Precious Wedding too.

Together with iElder, through the Silver Love Portrait Project,
we captured not “old age,” but decades of companionship and shared life.
Every moment — hands held, gentle smiles in front of the camera —
reminded us what a lifetime of commitment truly means.
Thank you to iElder for creating this project with such care,
where love is not defined by age, and memories are preserved with intention.
A quiet collaboration, yet one filled with profound meaning 🤍

We celebrated 52 years of marriage on 10 December 2025!
We are mindful of our wedding vows said to each other and before God – to love and to cherish each other in whatever circumstances, for better or worse, for poorer or richer, in sickness and in health.
Lifelong commitment and faithfulness is possible and we pray for more years of blessings together…
Happy New Year 2026!
Thank you
