The WAVIT is an ergonomic wheelchair that is made to help users with their daily needs. What differs between the standard wheelchair and an ergonomic one is that the latter is engineered for people who spend extended periods of time sitting down, providing them with excellent lumbar support. 1) The Frame Shape of the WAVIT & Pressure Mapping

The standard wheelchair is shaped like an L, but with the WAVIT it is more curved shape to better suit the body's curve. Based off the pressure mapping below, if your loved one were to sit for more than 6 hours on this wheelchair, they won't feel tired at all thanks to the way its frame is designed.  

2) Flip-able Armrest & Detachable Footrest

To make transfers easy from wheelchair to the bed or to a commode, the WAVIT's armrests can easily be lifted out of the way by a click of the button. Its footrests can be swung inwards, outwards and can even be taken out if the user does not desire them at all!

3) High Quality Fabric and 2 Colors

Versatile and one of the strongest fabrics made, the fabric used for the WAVIT is made of Polyester. Breathable, anti-bacterial, anti-staining, and removable so it can easily be machine-washed. It comes in two colors, Cream or Blue Check.

4) Maintenance Free Wheels

With tires made of Airless Polyurethane (PU), this ensures that you won't need to pump air into it which makes it maintenance free! This wheelchair's rear wheel is 22 inches and is a self-propelled wheelchair. 

5) Material for the Frame & its Wide Leg Frame

Its frame is made of aerospace aluminum alloy grade 7003, making it lightweight and durable. The total weight of this model is 13.9kg (22''). The maximum weight of user that this wheelchair can bear is up to 100kg.

Comparing its leg frame to the standard wheelchair, the WAVIT's leg frame is wider by 3cm to secure the space for the user. In addition to all this, we've even seen Kawamura customers use it for more than 10 years and have it still be in good working condition.
